ISEA took part in the CRIRSCO Special General Meeting in Istanbul

The CRIRSCO Special General Meeting 2026 was held in Istanbul from 7–11 September, hosted by UMREK. ISEA presented the work it has carried out, the progress achieved so far, and its upcoming priorities and planned activities.

Beyond the formal sessions, the meeting was a valuable opportunity to exchange views with CRIRSCO members and colleagues, learn from their experience, and continue strengthening professional cooperation within the international mineral reporting community.

ISEA thanks CRIRSCO for bringing participants together, and UMREK for the warm hospitality and excellent organisation. Our aim is to turn these discussions into further progress and meaningful cooperation.

CRIRSCO–GKZ Relationship Task Group launched

One of the important outcomes of the CRIRSCO Special General Meeting was the launch of the CRIRSCO–GKZ Relationship Task Group.

This is an important step in strengthening dialogue between the CRIRSCO international mineral reporting standard and GKZ-based state resource and reserve classification systems. ISEA is pleased to see this topic receive dedicated attention within CRIRSCO and looks forward to following and contributing to the work ahead.

Armenia signs MoU with CRIRSCO

Under the agreement between ISEA and CRIRSCO, Armenia's mining sector took an important step toward international cooperation. Within the MoU, CRIRSCO recognised ISEA as Armenia's prospective national organisation.
